Watch: Mr.Church trailer
Eddie Murphy returns to form in this domestic drama.
Usually known for his comedic roles, Murphy has only ventured into the world of serious drama a handful of times, the most successful being his Oscar nominted turn in Dreamgirls in 2007.
In recent years, the comic legend has sadly fallen off the radar. However, judging from this trailer, it looks like Murphy is set to make a great come back.
Mr.Church is based on the true story of a man who is hired to look after a struggling family and ends up changing their lives for the better.
It may be early days but if the trailer is anything to go by, this film could have award nominations written all over it.
At the very least fans can rejoice in what should be a triumphant return to serious drama for the talented Eddie Murphy. No more Norbit or Nutty Professor - Murphy's got his game face on.
The film will hit theatres on September 16.
