The popular Mexican director teams up with DreamWorks Animation to bring you Trollhunters, a new Netflix series about a human who hunts trolls. Trolls live in an underground city, with the population split between good and evil trolls. Before the heroic troll dies at the hands of the enemy, he casts his magic amulet into the human world, where it is found by Jim Lake Jr., a high school student and far from the image of an epic hero. Jim and his friends find themselves split between two lives, going to school by day and fighting evil trolls with the help of good trolls by night.

Notably, the late Anton Yelchin plays the voice of Jim Lake Jr., his final role before his tragic death. The majority of his lines were already recorded before the accident, and Guillermo del Toro refused to recast the character.

Trollhunters releases worldwide on Neflix on 23 December.
