Watch Bryan Cranston in Wakefield trailer
Bryan Cranston abandons his perfect life to live on his attic unnoticed from his family and neighbours in new indie drama.
IFC released a first trailer for the drama Wakefield, starring Bryan Cranston and Jennifer Garner. The movie, written and directed by Robin Swicord is based on E. L. Doctorow’s short story of the same name.
Howard Wakefield (Cranston) feels suffocated by his monotonous suburb life. He silently leaves his loving wife (Garner) and two kids behind to live on an attic across the street – watching his own former live through a window. The few days of escaping turn into weeks, then into months.
The drama adaption first premiered at the 2016 Telluride Film Festival, followed by a screening on the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2016.
Wakefield will open in the US cinemas on May 19, 2017. When the movie will be available on the Irish screens has to be announced yet.
