Val Kilmer Denies Cancer Rumours
A simple case of misinformation
The Doors actor made a statement to his Facebook community after longtime friend Michael Douglas appeared to disclose misinformation about his illness. The 56-year old has been silent about his health for some time now, causing concern among his community.
Kilmer approached Douglas two years ago asking for a specialist who could diagnose the lump in his throat. Since then, Douglas has assumed the star carried an illness. Kilmer wrote to fans, "I love Michael Douglas but he is misinformed. The last time I spoke to him was almost two years ago, when I asked him for a referral for a specialist to get a diagnosis for a lump in my throat, which prevented me from continuing a tour of my play Citizen Twain." After a visit to UCLA, Kilmer can declare that he is cancer free.
Val stated that there are no hard feelings between him and Douglas, and that their friendship will not be marred by a simple case of misconstrued information.
