TV SHOW OF THE DAY: Nowhere Fast (RTÉ 2, 10PM)
The first of a new six-part comedy written and starring comedian Alison Spittle, Nowhere Fast is a foul-mouthed look at Irish millennials, rural life and employment.
After accidentally saying "he just looks like the type of prick who'd wank over some briquettes" on live radio, Angela (Alison Spittle) finds herself out of a job in Irish media. So, she heads back to the midlands in order to recover. Returning to her family home, she now has to figure out a way to get her life back on track, while also trying to keep things together with her parents and friends "so she can get lifts".
Co-written with Simon Mulholland and Cian McGarrigle, and directed by Simon Gibney (Roy, The Podge and Rodge SHow), Nowhere Fast also stars Tara Flynn, Clare Monnelly (Moone Boy), Genevieve Hulme Beaman (Pondling), Cathy Belton and Mark Doherty.
Nowhere Fast Episode One airs tonight on RTE 2 at 10pm.
