The Kilkenny Cat Laughs announces full festival lineup including Dara Ó Briain, Joanne McNally and David O’Doherty
The festival runs from Friday 31st May to Monday 3rd June.
The Kilkenny Cat Laughs Festival has announced the full lineup for the festival’s 30th edition, including Dara Ó Briain, Joanne McNally, David O’Doherty, Neil Delamere, Des Bishop, Gearoid Farrelly and Chris Kent.
In June, 37 comedians will take the stage - 18 of those making their Kilkenny Cat Laughs debut - spread across 24 Shows.
“What makes this year’s line-up even more exciting is that we have 18 Comedians making their Kilkenny Debut - including Cork Comedian of the Year, Shawn Uyosa, and Mancunian Dan Tiernan, previous Winner of both BBC New Comedian of the Year and British Comedian of the Year,” says festival founder Richard Cook. “And returning this year will be the brand new recipient of The Sir Billy Connolly Spirit of Glasgow Award, Susie McCabe.”
The festival will also welcome back several Cat Laughs veterans including Karl Spain, Fred Cooke, Alison Spittle, Eleanor Tiernan, Colm O’Regan, Kevin McGahern and Stephen Mullan.
Cook adds: “Kilkenny Cat Laughs veteran, Ian Coppinger, has attended The Cat Laughs every year apart from the first when he was at his sister’s wedding – he tells me he has never forgiven her!
“When I launched the first Cat Laughs Festival in 1995, I would never have imagined planning 30th Festival Celebrations,” he concludes.
Tickets start from €15 and are available to purchase here.
