The The Witcher Saga is being adapted into a television series
Netflix is developing and producing a new English language drama series based on The Witcher, a fantasy saga from Polish writer Andrzej Sapkowski.
Some time ago, there were rumors of a movie but those ideas seem to have shifted towards a television series with Sapkowski as a creative consultant. In a press release, he said: “I’m thrilled that Netflix will be doing an adaptation of my stories, staying true to the source material and the themes that I have spent over thirty years writing.”
The The Witcher stories follow an unconventional family that comes together to fight for truth in a dangerous world full of original, funny and surprising characters.
Two members of the Sean Daniel Company, Sean Daniel and Jason Brown, will be the executive producers, along with two members of Platige Image, Tomek baginski and Jarek Sawko.
