Sigourney Weaver Joins the Cast of The Defenders

Marvel’s The Defenders sees Netflix’s superheroes will see Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist come together to fight some as of yet undefined threat. However, we found out who will play the main antagonist. At a New York Comic Con panel, Jeph Loeb announced to great fanfare that the nerd goddess herself, Sigourney Weaver, will oppose our heroes.

The Defenders arrives on Netflix in 2017, following the release of Iron Fist. The Iron Fist character is the only hero left to introduce to audiences before we get ready for a team-up against Weaver.
