Shrek 5 Gets 2019 Release Date

Once upon a time, in a far away land, the rights to the hugely successful animation Shrek were purchased by Comcast.

The largest broadcasting and cable television company in the world acquired DreamWorls Animations in April, and it has been reported that the movie, along with other previous DreamWorks animations will be repackaged and rebooted.

The media firm is looking to produce at least four animated films per year, in order to compete with the animation giants Pixar and Disney.

Shrek5 is apparently one of the first movies to get the reboot treatment. The last in the series, Shrek Forever After, generated $700 million at the box office after its release in 2010.
