Saoirse Ronan's Mother Says She's Beaming With Pride

While accepting her award Saoirse joked live on stage about FaceTiming her mother, Monica.
"I am so happy for her," she told the Irish Independent.
"She's my best friend, my rock, we're a team and I couldn't be more proud of her achievements in life as a young woman. She's makes me beam every day with pride."
Soairse was yesterday nominated for a BAFTA and is now being tipped for Oscar glory for her stand-out performance in Ladybird.
She's come a long way in the last couple of years, with four BAFTA nominations already to her name and has been short-listed twice for the Oscars.
