Ryan Reynolds To Produce Home Alone Remake

Actor Ryan Reynolds has signed on to produce a new film called Stoned Alone - a revision of the 1990 film Home Alone .

It has also been hinted that Reynolds will play a starring role in the movie.

Similar to Kevin McAllister, the protagonist will miss his flight to a family holiday. Instead of gorging on sweets and jumping on beds, he will spend his time getting high. However, paranoia will begin to set in and when thieves break into the house, the lead will be unsure whether it is all a fantasy or reality.

With a script by Kevin Burrows and Matt Mider, the film is assured to be full of quick wit and slapstick comedy.

Augustine Frizzel is set to direct.

While it may some time before we see a release for Stoned Alone , we can still enjoy the holiday favourite in the meantime. Check out the trailer below:
