Parents Of Anton Yelchin Suing For Wrongful Death
The actor died in a tragic accident in June
Anton's Yelchin's parents are set to sue "for the wrongful death of their son".
TMZ reports that the 27-year-olds parents are seeking punitive damages against Fiat Chrysler, ZF North America and AutoNation "due to significant defects" with their son's car.
According to TMZ the family are expected to announce the lawsuit at a press conference today.
The actor passed away on Sunday, June 19. He was best known for his roles in Alpha Dog, Star Trek, and most recently, Green Room.
Yelchin was heading to rehearsals on a Sunday morning when his car rolled backwards on a steep driveway, pinning him against a wall.
"When he didn't show up, his friends went to his house, where they found him deceased by his car," said a Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson Jenny Hauser. "It appeared he had momentarily exited his car, leaving it in the driveway."
