New Star Wars teaser shows off Ireland's Skellig Michael
The Last Jedi is set to hit our theaters this December.
Skellig Michael is once again a main attraction in the newly released teaser trailer for the upcoming Star Wars film. The island off the coast of Kerry seems to be playing a prominent role this time round as the location for Rey's training to be become a Jedi.
It had been shown previously in 2015's The Force Awakens (spoilers) in the final scene where Daisy Ridley's Rey went to learn to become a Jedi from Mark Hamill's Luke Skywalker. After the appearance of the UNESCO World heritage site in the last entry, interest in the site surged and its looks set to surge once more given it's inclusion here.
Throughout the teaser, we see a number of the film's stars and it's director being interviewed from the iconic area just off the Irish coastline as gorgeous shots of the island are sprinkled thoughout the nearly 3 -minute clip.
The Last Jedi is out December 15, 2017. Watch the new teaser below:
