New Pirates of the Caribbean trailer teases return of Keira Knightley
A new trailer for Pirates of the Caribbean: Salazar’s Revenge has been released; revealing that Knightley will be back in the franchise.
After a previous clip featured Orlando Bloom, it was speculated that Keira Knightley could also reprise her role as Will Turner’s love Elizabeth Swann. And now it seems she will:
In a new Japanese trailer for the movie, we can catch a very brief look at her. So the question if she will play a larger role or just make a short appearance probably won’t be answered until Salazar’s Revenge opens in the cinemas next month.
Both, Bloom and Knightley last appeared in the franchise in 2007’s Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End.
Along with Will Turner and Elizabeth Swann, Salazar’s Revenge will see other familiar faces back on the screen. Johnny Depp reprises his role as Captain Jack Sparrow, who has to fight the ghost pirate Captain Salazar (Javier Bardem), Geoffrey Rush will be back as Captain Hector Barbossa and Kevin R. McNally as Joshamee Gibbs.
New cast members include Kaya Scoledario and Brenton Thwaites.
The movie will hit the cinemas on May 26, 2017.
