New animated Ghost in the Shell series
Publisher Kodansha and animation company Production I.G announced a new animated adaptation of Ghost in the shell, Kenji Kamiyama and Shinji Aramaki will work together on a new animated version of Ghost in the Shell.
Three of them have experience with the franchise. Kodansha has published its own volumes of Ghost in the Shell, Production I.G. has done multiple anime adaptations of the series and Kenji Kamiyama worked on the Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex series. The new face is Shinji Aramaki, known for Appleseed, evangelion: another impact, Halo Legends …. He will be co-directing with Kenji Kamiyama.
The animated series doesn’t have a release date yet and it is not known in what form the adaptation will appear.
