Movie: My cousin Rachel June 20
My Cousin Rachel is an American-British film by Roger Michell. The film is based on a novel of the same name by British author Daphne du Maurier and features Rachel Hannah Weisz, known for her role in The Mummy.
The trailer follows the novel. Ambrose, the guardian of the seven-year-old Philip, goes to Florence because of a few health problems. When Philip reaches his twenties, he has already received letters from Ambrose explaining he has married Rachel, a cousin of theirs. The letters become grimmer as he describes he doesn’t feel well. Philip travels to the villa in Italy to check upon his guardian, but discovers Ambrose died and Rachel has left.
He suspects Rachel must have poisoned Ambrose but as they meet in England, Philip falls in love with her while simultaneously trying to discover what happened to Ambrose.
The movie should release June 20, 2017.
