Michael Moore set for screening and discussion in Dublin
As part of the IFTA Academy programme, the Oscar winner will be part of a screening and discussion on his new film Where To Invade Next at the IFI next Monday
The renowned – and controversial – filmmaker Michael Moore is set to visit Dublin next week.
A special IFTA Academy screening and discussion of his new film Where to Invade Next will take place at the IFI on Monday, and the director of Bowling For Columbine and Fahrenheit 911 will be the guest of honour.
Noted for his political activism and willingness to criticise topics such as globalization, large corporations, guns, war, the American health care system and capitalism – in book form as well as film, as the bestselling Stupid White Men proves – his newest effort takes the form of a travelogue, as he visits countries including Tunisia, Finland, Italy, France, and Portugal to evaluate how they've dealt with the social and economic challenges the US also faces.
