Maskerade by Ro: Irish couture designer creates range of face coverings
Masks may still feel like an odd addition to our daily routines, but Irish creatives have found a way for us to express ourselves through colourful prints and statement patterns.
With a focus on both Irish fashion design, supporting the most vulnerable in your local community and sustainability; Maskerade by Ro is a range of face coverings from award-winning bridal couture designer Ro Molloy.
The Covid-19 pandemic has stressed the need to protect those around you, but why not showcase the work of local designers while respecting the restrictions?
Ro Molloy has been working in fashion for over 20 years, and has been utilising her time in lockdown to craft unique, colourful face masks as a volunteer for vulnerable members of the community.
With the need for face coverings showing no sign of receding as we head into 2021, Molloy's handmade work would make an ideal Christmas gift for friends and family.
Ro has now sourced a range of amazing fabrics for her creations, which come in pleated or curved options and feature soft, adjustable ear loops. Each face covering is reusable and machine washable, for both sustainability and practicality. From sequins and floral patterns to animal print and colour blocks; Ro's designs stand out from the crowd.
25% of the purchase price of each mask from her breast cancer awareness range is currently being donated to Breast Cancer Ireland, and her entire range has a price of just €12.
