Maeve Higgins accepts role in Irish supernatural comedy
Titled Extra Ordinary, filming is due to take place in Tullamore, Kildare and Dublin.
With one of the most hit-or-miss plots out there at the moment in Irish television, Extra Ordinary tells the story of a driving instructor who must use her special powers to save a man's daughter from a rock star with Satanic intentions.
The show is the feature debut of writer-directors Mike Ahern and Enda Loughman - aka directing duo D.A.D.D.Y. and will also feature cast members ofBarry Ward, Will Forte and Claudia O'Doherty.
"We are delighted we have somehow convinced an incredible group of actors and funny people we really admire, along with an amazing crew and some random folk that we just wanted to meet, to join our fever dream and make this mysterious romantic oddball ghost story love comedy adventure film," stated directors Ahern and Loughman.
Irish company Blinder Films is among the producers, with the Irish Film Board/Bord Scannán na hÉireann and Dublin company Inevitable Pictures among the financiers.
It sounds like the finished result will be one not to miss!
