John Williams confirmed for score of Star Wars: Episode VIII
After all, what would a Star Wars film be without the music of maestro John Williams?
With a list of incredible scores including Jaws, Indiana Jones, ET, Harry Potter and a fleet of others, John Williams has gained as much notoriety as the films he has scored.
For fans of film music, his iconic score for the Star Wars franchise is definitely up there with the great themes, from Gone With the Wind to Ennio Morricone's Cinema Paradiso.
The 84 year old legend has worked on every Star Wars film. Apparently he is reluctant to say goodbye to the series as he was captivated by actress Daisy Ridley's portrayal of Rey and can't bear to have another composer scoring her scenes.
And we couldn't be happier. He has penned such greats as The Imperial March, Princess Leia's theme and Duel of Fates, and we cannot wait to see what new melodic beauties he has up his sleeve for the coming film.
