Jeremy Corbyn to speak at Robert Tressell Festival as full lineup is released
Corbyn was expelled from the Labour party in 2024 after deciding to run as an Independent in that years General Election. Since, he has retained his Islington North constituency and co-founded a new left-wing political party called "Your Party".
The full lineup has been released for the Robert Tressell festival, set to take place in the RDS Concert Hall on June 6.
Former Labour Party leader and current MP Jeremy Corbyn is set to speak at the event along with appearances from Michael D & Sabina Higgins.
The festival is a political, socialist and trade union festival, celebrating working-class culture, trade union achievements, and international solidarity.
Musical performances come from Sean McKenna, traditional folk band FARÓ and Palestinian singer Leen.
Also set to feature are members from the Global Sumud Flotilla, author Roddy Doyle, trade unionist Mick Lynch, Independent Senator Frances Black, Sinn Féin leader Mary Lou McDonald and Labour Party leader Ivana Bacik.
Jeremy Corbyn will speak on a panel titled ‘Celebrating our Patrons: Michael D and Sabina Higgins’.
Other panels at the event include ‘Where now for the USA and the World," with contribution from ICTU President Phil Ní Sheaghdha and former US Congressman Jamaal Bowman, and ‘Stop the Game Panel,' with trade unionist Mick Lynch, Rebecca O'Keeffe from Sport for Palestine and Journalist Aseel Marabeh.
Tickets for the evening gala starting at 7pm cost €25 including booking fee.
Tickets for the daytime sessions from 12am to 5pm cost €10 plus booking fee
