Jared Leto Joins the Blade Runner Sequel
Fresh off the heels of playing the Joker, the musician slash actor will join the cast of the as of yet untitled movie.
Development of a Blade Runner sequel has been in development since 1999, going through various stages, before finally settling into its current incarnation in 2015. Ridley Scott will work on the film as a producer while Denis Villenueve, director of Sicario and the upcoming Arrival, will direct.
Set decades after the original film, Harrison Ford will play a much older Rick Deckard. Further plot details are unknown at this point. He will be joined by Ryan Gosling, Robin Wright, Dave Bautista, and many others.
Jared Leto is the final confirmed casting announcement. This is pretty big news for the actor, just coming off his portrayal of the Joker, with his style of method acting stirring up controversy for his on-set antics.
