Jamie Dornan and Sam Claflin to Join Cast of Brian Kirk’s Borderland
The action thriller will be based around the IRA and British intelligence.
Set in 1970s London, directed by Brian Kirk ( Game of Thrones, Luther) and with a script written by Ronan Bennett ( Public Enemies, the production for Borderland is due to begin this summer in Dublin and London. It will see Jamie Dornan and Sam Claflin respectively take on the roles of an IRA operative and a SAS captain, to tell a story of revenge.
When Dornan’s IRA character is sent to London to oversee a new unit, he uses this as the opportunity to hunt down Clafin’s character in the SAS to hold him accountable for the shooting of his wife - when the bullet was meant for Dornan himself.
The film has been given provisional commitment by the Irish Film Board and will be produced by Alan Moloney from Parallel Film Productions, Chris Coen for Unanimous Entertainment and Rebecca Brown.
