Welcome to Hitchcock Will Bring Back the Hitchcock Anthology to Television
The spirit of the Master of Suspense is back!
Alfred Hitchcock Presents aired its final episode in 1989. After a near thirty-year absence, the Hitchcock anthology seeks a revival in Welcome to Hitchcock. The new series will take a page from current anthology shows, such as American Horror Story and True Detective, telling standalone stories over the course of single seasons.
The show comes from Universal Cable Productions, who struck a deal with the Hitchcock Estate to develop a new anthology series using the master’s name. The production company will collaborate with Chris Columbus’ 1942 Pictures. Chris himself will likely to direct the pilot episode, with top rated filmmakers sought out to create the subsequent episodes and seasons.
