True Detective is confirmed to return for third season
After a polarising second season, the HBO anthology series will return to television screens with Oscar-winning Mahershala Ai set to play the lead role in 2018.
Season three will follow a vicious crime that has taken place in the Ozarks, a mountainous region in the central United States with the story spanning three separate time periods.
Written by Nic Pizzolatto along with Deadwood creator, David Milch who co-wrote one episode, returning too as executive producers are Matthew McConaughey, Woody Harrelson and season one director, Cary Joji Fukunaga.
