The Walking Dead story arc will remain the same despite the death of stuntman John Bernecker
Executive producer Robert Kirkman said the crew was dealing with Bernecker's death "in their own way...it’s something that will continue to stick with us for years to come."
The executive producer of popular television series The Walking Dead has confirmed that scripts and story arcs will not change following the death of much-loved crew member and stuntman John Bernecker.
Robert Kirkman said that "No storylines were changed, you know, that was a tragic accident. It wasn’t story-related, it was just a freak accident that happened on set and it’s something that we’re dealing with, but it hasn’t affected the storyline in any way."
Experienced stuntman John Bernecker died on July 12 after falling 25 feet from a balcony onto concrete while rehearsing a fight scene. He missed a safety cushion by inches.
Tributes from family, friends and Walking Dead cast and crew members followed.
Bernecker was 33 years old.
