The Little Mermaid is set to get the Live Action Treatment

The Broadway director and writer is best known for his work on Hamilton, which is famous for portraying the life of American Founding Father Alexander Hamilton through hip-hop and a colorblind cast, and infamous for its impossible to acquire tickets. In addition, Alan Menkel, who worked on the original animated film, will return for the live action adaptation, joining Miranda to also work on the film’s score.

This isn’t the only Disney film that Lin-Manuel Miranda is working on. He has scored for the upcoming Moana and will continue to work on the new Mary Poppins movie.
