Stranger Things Season 2 Officially Announced
Prepare for more synth music.
If you’ve been following the buzz around Stranger Things, it should come as no surprise that a second season is coming. Coming off the high of positive reviews, Netflix did the only thing they could do and renew the show.
Stranger Things is notable as a throwback to eighties cinema, with kids on bikes, teenagers fighting monsters, Dungeons and Dragons, as well as a whole slew of popular eighties movie tropes. Most importantly, it told a good story, making it more than just a grab at nostalgic imagery. The main conflict wrapped up with the final episode of season one, with enough new threads left to continue the story.
Season two will arrive some time in 2017. Watch the announcement trailer right here, which teases enough ambiguous epithets to keep you theorizing.
