Sing Street Star to Appear in Glee Creator's New Netflix Series
Ryan Murphy will serve as writer, showrunner and executive producer of the project
Lucy Boynton of Sing Street fame has been cast as a series regular in Ryan Murphy’s Netflix series The Politician.
Plot details are being kept under wraps but a brief synopsis states the comedy will center on a wealthy young man from Santa Barbara with political aspirations.
Murphy has had a hand in some of the most watched TV series in recent years including Glee and Nip/Tuck. Currently he has a variety of shows on the air such as American Horror Story, American Crime Story, Feud, Pose and 9-11. He will write, showrun and executive produce The Politician.
Boynton will appear in The Politician alongside Zoey Deutch (Set it Up), Laura Dreyfuss (Glee) and newcomer Rahne Jones.
The English actress has also had roles in Kenneth Branagh's Murder on the Orient Express and the Netflix series Gypsy. She will also have a part in Freddie Mercury biopic Bohemian Rhapsody.
