Peaky Blinders Renewed for Another Two Seasons
The mob boss Thomas Shelby will be back to call the shots for an extended two seasons of Peaky Blinders.
The BBC are riding on Peaky Blinders' wave of success as they've announced an extended two seasons to the hit drama.
The epic gangster drama revolves around Thomas Shelby and his mob as they roam the streets of 1920's Birmingham. Created and written by Steven Knight since its beginnings in 2013 the show has become a sleeper hit, gaining momentum with each episode on its own merit. Celebrities like Brad Pitt, Julia Roberts and Steven Spielberg have even attested their love of the mobster drama. The show is currently in its third season on BBC and streaming with Netflix in the US so it's only blossoming in its audience reach and popularity.
Cillian Murphy is relishing in his role as crime lord, describing Shelby's character as "one of the most intense, challenging characters I’ve had the opportunity to play”. Fans of the show will be rejoicing at the news of fourth and fifth series confirmed. And with such celebrities stating their love of the show, could we see a few cameos in the near future?
Peaky Blinders Season 3 is currently airing on BBC tonight at 9.
