The Initial star rating system Netflix put in place caused confusion among its users, so the streaming service decided to replace it with a like and dislike option.

Why would you care, though?

Netflix’s new rating system will give you personalized suggestions based on your like/dislike history. The company compares the change with a dating app. “Finding love is hard, finding your next binge doesn’t have to be”, Netflix said.
