In the Hot Press Film Section This Fortnight: Andrew Scott and Jessie Buckley
Roe McDermott speaks to two of the finest Irish actors in the new issue of Hot Press.
Best known for his brilliant performance as Moriarty in hit TV show Sherlock, Irish actor Andrew Scott's latest film, The Delinquent Season, is a fascinating exploration of modern love. He discusses his excitement about working with Cillian Murphy on the movie, as well as offering his views on the Repeal referendum, Irish attitudes to sexuality, and the impact of the #metoo movement.
Elsewhere in the issue, fellow rising Irish star Jessie Buckley talks about her new serial flick Beast, her artistic upbringin in Kerry, and acting opposite luminaries such as Renee Zellweger, Judi Dench and TomHardy.
We also cast an insightful eye over how visual language, camerwork and cinematography can reveal a lot about a film's view of women.
We also have all the usual film reviews, including our takes on The Leisure Seeker, The Delinquent Season, Beast, The Young Karl Marx, and I Feel Pretty.
