Mulholland Drive is the critic's favourite in the BBC culture poll
The hypnotic Lynch film is considered the best film of the century by critics.
David Lynches bizarre psychotropic drama Mulholland Drive is considered the best film of the 21st century by critics consulted in the BBC culture poll.
BBC polled 177 critics across 36 countries to find the best films of recent memory. Mulholland Drive while confusing from a plot perspective, has become something of a critics darling thanks to it's rich layers of ludonarrative and striking visuals
Though critics and audience can often clash over what a 'Good' film actually is, the list has a glut of what are widely considered to be masterpieces beloved by audiences and critics alike.
Ultimately as with any art form these 'Top 100' lists are merely subjective options, just as any criticism is.
