Moana Gets Its First Theatrical Trailer
Summer movie season may be over, but there’s still stuff left to see this year.
With Marvel, Pixar, and Star Wars, Disney’s combined might would like to see someone else come close to their ownership of the box office. With a UK release this 2 December, Moana will champion the House of Mouse’s arrival at the throne.
This movie sees the reunion of Ron Clements and Jon Musker, the minds behind behind The Little Mermaid and Aladdin, as they are joined by Lin Manuel Miranda, a proclaimed Disney fanboy, best known for his work on the Broadway hit, Hamilton. The story is about a young girl, Moana, who is best friends with the ocean, teaming up with large Polynesian demigod, Maui, who is voiced by large Polynesian wrestler-turned-actor, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, to save her people.
