An immersive Van Gogh experience, where visitors can wander through massive, two-story projections of the artist's most famous works, is coming to the RDS. The show will be available May 16 through August 4.

Attaining massive success in cities around the world, The Theatre of Light is bringing 360 degree views of history's most famous artist to Dublin. At 20,000 square feet, the event is a grand display of light and sound, allowing visitors to experience artwork in a way they they never have before.

The exhibit will showcase some Van Gogh's most well-known works, including Starry Night, Self-Portrait and Sunflowers. Completely digital and hands free, the event is suited to any audience — from school groups to families to couples.

"You get to walk through the fascinating and tragic life of Van Gogh, through his carefully curated artworks, chosen to fully absorb you in a multisensory experience, with mind-blowing audio-visual effects," said Project Director Jillian Wilson.

The Theatre of Light, an Irish company founded in 2020, is working in collaboration with Nohlab to present Van Gogh Dublin: An Immersive Journey in the RDS.
