Goodfellas to return to cinemas
The gangster classic will be re-released in high quality this January.
Thanks to a partnership between BFI and Warner Brothers, the iconic mafia film Goodfellas will be coming back to cinemas January 20. The film will turn 27 years old in 2017, and it still remains a favourite after all these years. For those who haven't seen Goodfellas in theatres, there's no better time to head to the movies and see one of the best crime films back on the big screen.
With an all-star cast, including Ray Liotta, Robert DeNiro, and Joe Pesci, this film received critical acclaim and six Academy Award nominations. Goodfellas was based on the book Wiseguy by Nicholas Pileggi, and Pileggi adapted the script from the novel himself, along with director Martin Scorcese. The film also has a stellar soundtrack, including tracks from Tony Bennett and Sid Vicious.
