Ghostbusters Reboot Continues to Face Despondent Backlash
The producers behind the Ghostbusters reboot must be sweating as they earnestly try to salvage the film.
Ghostbusters doesn't open until July 15 and yet it's fighting, what many would argue, a lost battle.
The first trailer for Ghostbusters is stigmatized by the fact that it quickly became the most disliked trailer on YouTube. Since then Sony have been tediously trying to weave a positive marketing strategy to gain some fandom for the film. In an effort to do just so, they've released four in-depth character videos with commentary from director Paul Feig and unseen film footage.
An all-star cast including comedic goddesses Kirsten Wiig and Melissa McCarthy, the original director Paul Feig on board, praise from Bill Murray and yet, we're still not convinced.
Ghostbusters invades cinemas on July 15.
