Family Guy pays tribute to Adam West
Seth McFarlane, the show's creator, called West "joy to work with."
Following the passing of beloved Batman star Adam West, cartoon sitcom Family Guy honoured his memory before their most recent episode. West had played the role of the town's mayor in the popular cartoon, and had been a series regular since 2000. Before running the most recent episode, there was a picture of West beaming in the studio where he was working on the series. McFarlane also took to Twitter to express his grief at the loss.
“Family Guy has lost its mayor, and I have lost a friend,” MacFarlane tweeted. “Adam West was a joy to work with, and the kind of guy you always wanted to be around. His positivity, good nature, and sense of fun were undeniable, and it was always a big jolt of the best kind of energy when he walked in to record the show.
"Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all that you have given, Mr. Mayor. You’re irreplaceable.”
