<i>Anthropoid</i> Lands Irish Release Date

The WWII biopic starring Cillian Murphy and Jamie Dornan has finally been granted its debut here.

Mark your diaries for September 9.
The date was confirmed today by distributors Icon Films. With two Irish leads, Anthropoid promises to be yet another conveyor of the quality input of Irish film. Dornan and Murphy star as two Czech assassins out to undertake the killing of Nazi commanding officer, Reinhard Heydrich. Directed by Sean Ellis, Anthropoid transports us back to 1941, Prague. The film was shot in various locations in Prague to capture the true essence and atmosphere of this war-torn city with memoirs taken from Czech military archives and witnesses.
So now you have it, September 9 for Anthropoid's Irish premiere.
