31: Rob Zombie Film Incites Halloween Frights
5 carnival workers and a game called "31"...what could go wrong?
Just one week away until the candy and costume laden holiday arrives. If your list of horror films lacks in substance, then the latest Rob Zombie film 31 should make the cut.
Written and directed by rock-star Rob Zombie, the American horror film centers around carnival workers in 1976 who must fight against murderers known as "The Heads." Called by the names, Sick-Head, Psycho-Head, Schizo-Head, Death-Head, and Sex-Head, these assailants torture and tantalize the five workers. Hopefully murderous clowns do not sound too frightening!
Released back in September, Rob Zombie says the film "was always going to be very in-your-face physically violent movie from the start." See for yourself in the trailer before.
The film will screen at the IFI in Temple Bar as part of the IFI Horrorthon, Thursday October 27. For tickets and more information: www.ifi.ie/horrorthon-2016-31
Rob Zombie has also directed the horror films The Devil's Rejects, House of 1000 Corpses, and The Lords of Salem.
