The Incredibles sequel will take up right where the last one left off
Director Brad Bird will be returning at the helm.
For those who remember how the last Incredibles film ended and were still, to this day, thinking about that cliffhanger then rejoice as your prayers have been answered. The sequel will reportedly open with the family of superheroes facing off against the underminer, the villain who showed up in final moments of the 2004 animated classic.
This of course was not the main antagonist of the first outing , that honour belongs to the cynical, angst ridden Syndrom (Jason Lee). It's also not confirmed whether or not The Underminer will play the family's primary obstacle this time round.
Pixar's John Lasseter and director of the first Toy Story told the press at the D23 conference that they film wil begin with “a big old set piece” featuring the family fighting Underminer before transitioning into the actual plot of the movie. Lasseter also says the movie is “such a special story."
The Incredibles 2 is slated for released on June 15, 2018.
