House of Guinness star Niamh McCormack to star in THE CRUCIBLE at the Gaiety
See ticket information below.
Several Irish actors are set to feature in the Gaiety's new production of Arthur Miller's THE CRUCIBLE, including House of Guinness star Niamh McCormack.
Other members of the cast include Charlene McKenna (Peaky Blinders, Clean Sweep), Bríd Ní Neachtain (The Banshees of Inisherin, Rosie & Frank), as well as American actors Andrew McCarthy (Pretty in Pink, Weekend at Bernie's) and Adam Rotherberg (Ozark, Ripper Street).
THE CRUCIBLE is based off Arthur Miller's famous 1953 play about the Salem Witch Trials. The play is often interpreted as an allegory on McCarthyism, the United States Government persecution of communists, while also incorporating topics such as misogyny and religious hypocrisy.
It is set in the town of Salem, Massachusetts as a colonial village grapples with mass hysteria and the belief that the devil has bewitched the women of Salem. The women are then prosecuted by the townspeople in a trial fueled by lies and rumours.
The play will be directed by Andrew Flynn, who most recently directed The Cripple of Inishmaan and The Lieutenant of Inismore by Martin McDonagh for Gaiety productions in 2019/2020.
The show is set to run for six weeks with performances beginning on February 9, 2026, concluding on March 21, 2026.
Tickets are on sale now and can be found here.
