Not the Kerry Fianna Fáil councillor of the same name, but rather one of the most thrilling Irish acts of recent memory, John Francis Flynn has spent the last few years as a key player in Ireland’s folk revival. A founding member of Skipper’s Alley and an acclaimed session musician, he has recorded with the likes of Lankum and Ye Vagabonds. John’s haunting live show went international in 2019 as he joined Lankum on their UK tour, while his highly anticipated debut solo album is lined up for release in the coming months.
