Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 announced by director James Gunn
The multi-talented screenwriter and director James Gunn has announced on his Facebook page that he is on board for the next Guardians of the Galaxy epic – even before Vol. 2 has hit our screens...
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 hasn’t hit film theatres yet – and we already know that a GOTG vol. 3 is in the pipeline!
In what seems like an extraordinary move, the director of the upcoming Vol. 2 of the Marvel Comics-originated franchise has let the cat out of the bag in relation to its follow-up. According to Gunn, the next chapter will happen after Marvel’s Infinity War. ”It will conclude the story of this iteration of the Guardians of the Galaxy, and help catapult both old and new Marvel characters into the next ten years and beyond,” James Gunn explains: “I will be working side-by-side with Kevin Feige and the gang to help design where these stories go, and make sure the future of the Marvel Cosmic Universe is as special and authentic and magical as what we have created so far.”
It may seem remarkable that Gunn released this statement directly to the fans, skipping the traditional media which has built his popularity. However, one has to assume that the release of the information is calculated, perhaps with the aim of giving Vol. 2 a boost at the box office. in that regard, the proof of the pudding will be in the viewing!
