Florence Road & Dove Ellis land multiple festival bookings following Eurosonic showcase performances
Both fast-rising Irish acts will need their passports this summer...
Having travelled over to Groningen in northern Holland in January for Eurosonic showcase performances, Irish artists Florence Road and Dove Ellis top the list of artists translating their Dutch momentum into confirmed festival appearances across Europe.
Florence Road, the Bray outfit who recently graced the cover of Hot Press and were all sorts of wonderful at our 3Arena History In The Making gig, have already lined up nine international bookings, including Primavera Sound (Spain), Rock Werchter (Belgium), Southside Festival (Germany) and Y Not Festival (United Kingdom).
Dove Ellis, the Galwegian living in Manchester exile, is in second place with five festival bookings, among them Lowlands (The Netherlands) and Poplar Festival (Italy).
Also making a big splash at Eurosonic '26 were France's Max Baby and Sweden's Joshua Idehen who have four each with more to doubtless follow.
”We had two magical days in Groningen, our first two gigs of 2026," Idehen reflects. "You go into these showcase festivals hoping the right people think well of you; to have a whole concert hall amping to your music was a blessing, a real blessing.”
Here's what our man Stuart Clark had to say about Florence Road and Dove Ellis' Groningen sets:
