Exciting News For Father Ted Fans
Father Ted is back! The co-creator of 'Father Ted', Graham Linehan has announced that that he and his co-writer Arthur Mathews are penning a musical with Neil Hannon, entitled 'Pope Ted – The Father Ted Musical'.
Father Ted is back – and then some! And guess how? In the form of a musical – which promises to be one of the biggest entertainment stories of the next decade (we promise!).
Taking to Twitter to announce the news, Graham Linehan – himself a former Hot Press journalist – wrote that he promises it's "going to be the real final episode of Father Ted".
He added: "Pope Ted—The Father Ted Musical’ written by Arthur Mathews and myself, music by Neil Hannon, is almost written. I just thought you’d like to know. THIS IS NOT A DRILL!”
No further information is available at the moment. But that won't stop people speculating! There's fun on the way – and lots of it – is all we can say!
(Our pic shows original Father Ted stars Ardal O'Hanlon and the late Dermot Morgan).
