Donald Trump is officially the 45th President of the United States
The President was sworn in at his inauguration ceremony at Capitol Hill less than an hour ago.
Speaking for the first time as President, Donald Trump took his acceptance speech to thank the Obamas for the "smooth transition of power" and took shots at the Washington establishment, saying :"We are transferring power from Washington, D.C., and giving it back to you, the people."
Continuing, Trump said: "The wealth of our middle class has been ripped from their homes ... But that is the past."
The President also took aim at Obama's foreign and domestic policy, saying that America has suffered as a result of the "closing down of factories", outsourcing of jobs, and deindustrialisation. Reasserting America's place in the geopolitical sphere, Trump said: "Together we will determine the course of America and the world for many, many years to come."
