Daniel Craig denies rumours he will return for another Bond film
Despite previous reports, Daniel Craig says he is undecided whether he will return for another Bond film.
While speaking to Morning Magic 106.7, a Boston-based radio show, Daniel Craig said, “no decision has been made at the moment.”
“There’s a lot of noise out there and nothing official has been confirmed and I’m not, like, holding out for more money or doing anything like that."
“It’s just all very personal decisions to be made at the moment. I know they’re desperate to get going and I would, in theory, love to do it, but there is no decisions just yet.”
Still, although he has denied that he has accepted the role, Daniel Craig's words do not preclude the possibility of his return.
Daniel Craig has been playing Bond since 2006. In that time period, he has taken part in 4 films. If he were to quit now, he would have a similar length of time in the role as his predecessor, Pierce Brosnan. If he does return, he will only be 3 films off from equaling the tenures of Sean Connery and Roger Moore.
His period playing the role of the famous British spy has garnered the franchise some of its most profitable films. Clearly, there must be a strong desire among the producers for Daniel Craig's return.
For now, we will have to wait.
