Could Next Indiana Jones Be A Woman?
Steven Spielberg says that he's toying with the idea of giving the iconic role to a female star.
Asked during an interview if it was a possibility to make such a radical change, the Hollywood icon said he wouldn't rule it out.
"We'd have to change the name from Jones to Joan. And there would be nothing wrong with that," he said.
But the dramatic change won't be anytime soon as Harrison Ford has signed up for the next instalment of the franchise, which will be hitting the big screens in 2020.
But this will be Ford's fifth and final outing as Indiana Jones.
“This will be Harrison Ford’s last Indiana Jones movie, I am pretty sure, but it will certainly continue after that," Stephen Speilberg said during an interview with the British tabloid, The Sun.
