Chris O'Dowd Recruited For JJ Abrams' God Particle
The Moone Boy funny man is latest to join sci-fi thriller due out in 2017.
With sci-fi films revolving around space becoming ever more prevalent in the box-office, the market is most definitely there for God Particle.
O'Dowd has jumped on board this impressive cast which will see him alongside David Oyelowo, Gugu Mbatha-Raw and Daniel Brühl. O'Dowd was in contention with The Office's John Krasinski but has presided over the role. JJ Abrams will act as producer over the project with Julius Onah taking the director's seat.
Relatively little is known about the film's premise but what is known is this; a group of astronauts on the International Space Station make a disturbing discovery that completely alters their grip on reality. With their concept of everything turned upside down, the group pick up signal of another space shuttle but are they friends or foes?
God Particle is due to start filming this year with an anticipated release date of February 24 2017.
